Nun's Whisky Series Produced at the Altes Tramdepot brewery and distilled by the Schwab distillery, this excellent amber-coloured whisky matured for five years in red wine and sweet wine casks in the cellars of the Klösterli.
It delights with its complex aromas: noble wood aromas unfold on the nose, delicately accompanied by notes of almond and vanilla. On the palate, it is velvety soft, with a harmonious body and a long finish carried by delicate honey notes.

Production
Our Nun's Whisky is produced in the heart of Bern at our Altes Tramdepot brewery. Once the mash is ready, we take it to the Schwab distillery, which distils the whisky for us.
The whisky is then stored for five years in red and sweet wine casks in the cellar of the Klösterlistutz.
The adjustment and bottling is carried out personally by brewery manager Matthias Koschahre.
Each of our whiskies is numbered by hand. Only 505 bottles of Nun's Whisky Sister Abigail, bottled in 2022, were produced. 24 bottles were also bottled at cask strength. Only 484 bottles of Nun's Whisky Sister Abigail, bottled in 2026, were produced, with 10 more at cask strength.

Stored where the nuns once changed for the Aare baths
The whisky got its name because it is stored in the cellar of the Klösterlistutz. The barrels in which the whisky matures are located in vaulted cellars where the nuns of the Klösterlis once changed for the Aare bath.
Each whisky in the Nun's Whisky Series bears the name of a fictitious nun who lived in the Klösterli long ago.
So perhaps it is not only the optimal humidity that makes our whiskies so unique, but also the spirits of the namesakes who lived in the Klösterli hundreds of years ago.
